Following the successful development of a vapor-compression refrigeration system for use in microgravity and zero-gravity environments, Air Squared has published a paper with Purdue University and Whirlpool Corporation that can be used as a “yardstick,” allowing quick scaling of a vapor compression cycle and sizing a microgravity cold storage refrigerator.
