6 kW Scroll Expander with Integrated Refrigerant Pump
The E16H032A-L-SH lubricated, semi-hermetic, scroll expander with integrated refrigerant pump efficiently delivers 6 kW output power using conventional refrigerants.
Developed for a novel geothermal Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC), the E16H032A-L-SH lubricated scroll expander is designed to be highly efficient, near-silent during operation, and require minimal maintenance over the life of the ORC.
The semi-hermetic expander has a patented magnetic coupling configuration that isolates the working fluid from ambient, allowing the expander to be compatible with most common refrigerants. For extended life and improved efficiency, the E16H032A-L-SH is designed for lubricated operation with oil that is circulated through the expander with the working fluid.
To improve ORC system efficiency the E16H032A-L-SH scroll expander has an integrated refrigerant pump, which allows users to eliminate a power-consuming ORC component. The refrigerant pump runs off an expander idler shaft and is fully integrated into the expander design.
With approximately 28 bara inlet pressure the expander will provide 6 kW output power at 3,000 RPM.
