Highly efficient, lightweight, and compact, the V06H014A-BLDC-SH-LC scroll vacuum pump is designed to support environmental control and life support systems (ECLSS) on board the International Space Station (ISS). It is the second Air Squared design scheduled for space flight in 2020.

The V06H014A-BLDC-SH-LC will replace peristaltic pumps used for in-situ urine processing. The compact design is capable of maintaining a vacuum of 10 torr at 5 lpm in micro-gravity conditions while experiencing intermittent slugs of water. The design is semi-hermetic and utilizing liquid-cooling for a target operating life over 8,000 hours.
