In 1999 Air Squared designed the first scroll fuel cell compressor, the P32H58N2.25. Today, extensive development has led to a full line of low-pressure fuel cell compressors. Air Squared is positioned as the leader in scroll compressor solutions for PEM type fuel cells and hydrogen and oxygen recirculation for SOFCs. The need of fuel cell applications for clean compressed air, without the impurities in oil, make oil-free scroll compressor solutions ideal. In early 2012, Air Squared completed development on a hydrogen recirculation pumps designed specifically for fuel cell systems, the P16H34N2.35 H2.
